Cassidy Cheong

Artist, Rising Artists Showcase

Cassidy Cheong, mezzo soprano, recently completed her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance at the University of Washington where she studied with Dr. Carrie Shaw. She graduated with honors from Swarthmore College with a BA in Music and Political Science where she studied with Clara Rottsolk. Cassidy is passionate about performing early music, contemporary music, and beyond. Recent performances include Margherita in Caccini’s Ghost with Seattle Opera Creation Lab, Flora in Britten’s Turn of the Screw and La poësie in Charpentier’s Les arts florissants with UW, La suora infermiera in Puccini’s Suor Angelica, and Lowbrow Opera Collective’s Sweets by Kate. Cassidy also loves ensemble singing, and performs with Evergreen Ensemble and Choral Arts Northwest.
