She Carries the Fire: Songs of Survival, Freedom, and Resilience

She Carries the Fire is an intimate concert in support of Rising Waters Collective's inaugural Currents Festival, hosted at one of Seattle's most exciting cultural spaces: ArtLove Salon, perched above Pike Place Market with sweeping views of Elliott Bay.

Arrive early and enjoy wine, cava, nibbles, and good company. Then settle in for a program of new and beloved works, including sneak peeks of two of this summer's most anticipated premieres: the world premiere of Sheila Silver's Songs of Resilience and disPLACE, the Catalan chamber opera receiving its North American premiere at the Currents Festival in August.

After the concert, stay and connect with fellow community members, the leadership of Rising Waters Collective, and the artists themselves.

Featuring pianist Elisabeth Ellis, sopranos Holly Boaz, Anjani Briggs, and Ibidunni Ojikutu, mezzo-soprano Julia Benzinger, and baritone Morgan Smith.
