A lone waitress moves through her nightly rituals - wiping counters, stacking cups - until the phone rings. What begins as a polite, measured conversation unravels into something more intimate and disorienting, pulling her between the present moment and a past she cannot release.
Set in the early 1950s and sung entirely in the original French, L’heure suspendue transforms this familiar American diner into a liminal dreamscape where memory, reality, and desire fold in on themselves. The audience, seated in booths and along the counter, becomes a silent cast of spectral patrons, ghosts of nights long gone, bearing witness to a private unraveling.
