It’s closing time at a roadside diner on Vashon Island. The coffee pots are cooling, the last slice of pie waits under glass, and one woman lingers by the phone.
In this haunting, intimate reimagining of La voix humaine, a single conversation unravels into a raw portrait of love, loss, and memory—served beneath the hum of fluorescent lights.
Staged in partnership with Island Queen, this special preview performance brings opera into the heart of the everyday. Starring mezzo-soprano Lucy Weber, pianist Amy Boers, and directed by Julia Benzinger.
